On Dec. 27, the President’s Innovation Fund of Marywood University reached 1,500 donors.

In early October, Chair of the Board of Trustees Lisa Lori presented a $15,000 challenge grant to the Marywood community. If 1,500 donors made a donation to the President’s Innovation Fund by the end of 2016, Lori would donate $15,000 to the university.

Lori said she is confident the $15,000 will be put to good use for the university.

“I’m very happy we actually exceeded [1,500 donors] before the deadline,” said Lori.

At the time of our last update on Nov. 27, the fund needed about 500 more donors to meet the 1,500 goal.

The money donated to the fund will give financial resources to Sr. Mary Persico, IHM, Ed. D, president, to spend on areas of the university that she deems important.
