Undergraduate and graduate students of Marywood University’s Class of 2017 received their hoods on Friday morning in the Center for Athletics and Wellness.

The ceremony included the introduction of this year’s valedictorian, Haven Donovan, athletic training major. Donovan also helped to recognize students who had been inducted into honor societies.

Earlier in the ceremony, students who earned the Citation in Honors merits as well as any medals were also introduced.

Valedictorian for the 2016 graduating class Emily Schweiger administered the graduation pledge before the Marywood Anthem was performed to conclude the ceremony. Kimberly Szabo performed the alma mater.

The Commencement Liturgy, a luncheon and the Graduate Hooding and Honors Ceremony followed the morning’s ceremony. Commencement followed on Saturday, May 20, at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre at 1 p.m.
