The Marywood men’s soccer team has been an even match with Arcadia University over the past three seasons.

Last night’s game broke a streak of three consecutive season-opening draws between the two squads as the Knights beat the Pacers 4-1.

Arcadia jumped out to an early lead with a goal from junior forward Ryan Keeter in the fifth minute. Pacer’s senior midfielder Matthew Hull tied the game back up in the 47th minute.

The Knights got the goal back only two minutes later.

Junior forward Bradley McKim was awarded a penalty kick. His attempt was saved by Pacer senior goalkeeper Patrick Brogan, but McKim scored on the rebound.

McKim scored again in the 57th minute as the Knights would tack on another late goal to seal the deal.

The Pacers look to get some early season momentum back as they take on Wilkes University at home on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
