The National Hockey League’s (NHL) newest team, the Vegas Golden Knights, finally has a roster.

The NHL held an expansion draft at the future home of the Golden Knights, the T-Mobile Arena, last week.

Here are some of the sights and sounds from the draft.

This expansion draft marked the first since 2000 when the rosters of the Columbus Blue Jackets and Minnesota Wild were filled.

The draft’s full rules are complicated, but it boils down to one simple concept.

Each of the established 30 NHL teams were allowed to protect either seven forwards, three defensemen and one goaltender or eight skaters (forwards/defensemen) and one goaltender.

The Golden Knights could select one player from each team’s non-protected list to fill out its roster.

Some notable selections were goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury from the Pittsburgh Penguins, left wingers James Neal from the Nashville Predators and David Perron from the St. Louis Blues. Additional selections were 13 defenders including former Chicago Blackhawk Trevor van Riemsdyk, whose stay in Sin City didn’t last long after subsequently being traded to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Here is the full list of selections, according to NHL.com:
