Peers on Wellness (POW) held its second Meditative Monday in the Learning Commons earlier this week.

Claire Rybak, a clinical psychology major and secretary of POW, said the event arose out of a desire to do something “positive for the campus.”

According to Rybak, the group chose the event’s activities to provide “stress relief.” These included make-your-own trail mix, stress ball-making, and mandala coloring.

Dr. Estelle Campenni, associate professor of psychology, conducted aromatherapy for students who attended.

Last year, the event was held in the Fireplace Lounge at Nazareth Student Center. Rybak explained that it was moved to the Learning Commons to increase its visibility.

“Everybody sees everything [at the library],” she added.

Massiel Velez, a freshman nursing major, attended the event and said it was “really cool.”

“[It] shows that the school cares,” she said.
