NEWS BRIEF: CSD student wins American Association of University Women Scholarship

Rebecca Skakal, a junior Speech-Language Pathology major, won the 2016 Jacquie Walker American Association of University Women (AAUW) Scholarship.

AAUW is an organization that “advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research,” according to the website

The scholarship awards full-time students who graduated from a high school in western New York and show commitment to community service with $5,000.

Skakal is a student in Marywood’s Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and is also minoring in Nutrition/Dietetics.
