Dear Marywood Students:
Welcome! As we begin another exciting year at Marywood University, I am pleased that you are here to be a part of it. I encourage you to get and stay involved with our campus community.
For nearly 100 years, Marywood has been helping people realize their dreams of an education. Our reach and provision of educational access have expanded with each passing decade, as we continue to live our mission, which encourages “men and women of all backgrounds to shape their lives as leaders in service to others.”
Our deepest desire for each student is that he or she would realize and lead fulfilled lives, so I hope that each of you, whether a new or returning student, will make the most of the abundant opportunities before you. We welcome each of you, along with your dreams and aspirations—all that you are and all that you are still becoming.
Marywood is especially blessed this year to welcome our Centennial Class to campus. Class of 2015, you hold a special place in our history, and I know that your next four years will be a time of significant growth and meaningful contributions to the Marywood story.
All of our students have so many gifts and talents! I encourage you to make the most of every opportunity to demonstrate your scholarship and research efforts in your chosen academic discipline. Commit to making a difference by participating in local, national, and international service activities.
I look forward to seeing you on campus and at the many events and activities we host each semester. May your journey at Marywood be one of growth and blessing!
Sincerely,
Sister Anne Munley, IHM, Ph.D.
President of the University
