On Sunday Oct. 2, a bus of Marywood baseball fans escaped campus to cheer on their favorite baseball teams.

The Student Activities Committee (SAC) headed to Philadelphia with a bus of 51 students to Citizens Bank Park for the matchup between the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies.
This event was free and only required a $5 refunded deposit.

“We usually try to have one major event per semester. This trip filled up very quickly and even had a waitlist,” said Student Activities and Leadership Development’s Administrative Assistant Ruth Walsh.

Ryan Riley, a freshman criminal justice major, said he was excited for the trip.

“I’m a big Mets fan so I thought it would be a good opportunity to see a game,” said Riley.

The next big event for the spring semester will be announced after Thanksgiving. SAC posts all of upcoming events on their website.
