Marywood University has been named one of the best colleges for studying health professions by USA Today.

Out of a list of 10 colleges, which includes Ohio State University, University of Mississippi and University of Pittsburgh, Marywood was awarded fourth place.

According to the article, “Marywood University is a fairly priced private university with high retention and low student loan default rates…[S]ome of the most popular majors include dietetics and clinical nutrition, communication science, and rehabilitation and therapy.”

The list takes into account “a ranking of overall programs based on the quality of the college and the strength of the individual majors offered within the subject,” as reported by USA Today.

College Factual, the site behind the rankings, lists the three main criteria for selection as “Average of Rankings by Major,” “Wealth of Majors,” and “Percent Focus”, meaning the percentage of the student body studying the profession.
