Sr. Mary Persico, IHM, Ed.D. will be Marywood’s new president.

Dr. Ann Henry, chair of the Board of Trustees, announced Sr. Mary’s appointment as the 12th president of Marywood in a memo to the university community. Her presidency will begin July 1.

In her memo, Dr. Henry called Sr. Mary a “decisive, confident, and empathetic administrator who leads with confidence, honesty, and optimism.”

“We sought a president who could articulate the Marywood mission, an individual committed to making Marywood the university of choice for talented, diverse, and intelligent men and women who seek to make a positive impact on society at both the regional and global levels,” the memo said.

Dr. Henry expressed the Board’s appreciation for Sr. Anne Munley’s tenure as president of Marywood University, commending her for “numerous accomplishments over the past nine years.”
