Marywood’s Physician Assistant Program received Accreditation-Continued status for the next ten years.

According to the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), the program will now remain accredited until 2026.

The ARC-PA is an independent accrediting body that is authorized to grant accreditation to Physician Assistant programs, according to the ARC-PA website. Accreditation is based on whether a program meets standards for function, structure and performance.

The Accreditation-Continued status was determined by the program’s application, a report from a site visit team, the program’s response to observations and previous accreditation history.

According to Marywood’s website, the Physician Assistant program will remain accredited until it closes or withdraws from the accreditation program. The program will not need to go through a validation review until 2026, as long as it complies with accreditation standards.
