A $15,000 challenge grant pledged by the Chair of the Board of Trustees Lisa Lori needs 463 more donors before Dec. 31 for the challenge to be reached.

Lori pledged to donate $15,000 to Marywood if 1,500 donors make a donation to the President’s Innovation Fund by the end of the year.

The money donated to the fund will be used toward areas of the university to benefit the inaugural year of Marywood President Sr. Mary Persico, IHM, Ed. D.

As of Nov. 27, the fund had 1,037 donors out of the 1,500 donor goal.

On Thursday, Nov. 17, Sr. Mary sent an email asking the Marywood community to help secure the $15,000 challenge grant.

“We are already halfway to the goal and need your help to reach it,” said Sr. Mary in the email.

According to the email, donors can make a gift through a payroll deduction if they are employed at the university or with a credit card if they are not employed by Marywood.

“Gifts of any size contribute to the collective impact we can make in the lives of Marywood students,” said Sr. Mary in the email.
