Famous Quotes on Pets and Well-Being, a website of George Mason University’s Center for the Advancement of Well-Being, claims pets benefit people in many ways. Celebrity cook and television host Rachael Ray says,“I think having a pet will make you a better human”.

As someone who grew up around animals, I think they deserve recognition as family members.

Pets are loyal and full of affection. They tend to greet children when they come home from school and adults when they come home from work or college.
They also love to sleep in bed with their owners or cuddle with them on the couch.

Some owners celebrate their pet’s birthday and I think that’s an adorable and well-deserved tradition. Pets should have their birthdays remembered.

It can be tough to determine what day your pet was born, so, if you can’t determine the exact day, you can always have it on the day they were adopted.

For their birthday cake, go to a pet bakery or find a pet-friendly cake recipe online. This might prove challenging, but it’s worth it. However, if it’s too hard or expensive, making an alternate treat is always an option.

According to a Pew Research Study, “The share of pet owners who think of their pet as part of their family as much as a human member doesn’t vary notably by age, race, or ethnicity.”

Since pets are thought of as humans, they deserve to get gifts for their birthday and other holidays. After all they give us with their love and companionship, including them in our celebrations is the least we can do.

Of course, they can’t take part in everything with humans because some human food is poisonous to them, according to Plants and food that can be poisonous to pets

Although pets wearing outfits either matching their owners or not are adorable, there is a limit to how much the pet can match without being abused. Dresses and outfits, costumes and other accessories are cute but might not always be safe for our furry friends.

Some pets respond well to dressing up, but sometimes it can cause anxiety and make them feel uncomfortable. It depends on their temperament. If your pet shows signs of anxiety, that adorable outfit or accessory isn’t worth it. According to Piercing dogs Ears: Risks and Controversies of Dog Ear Piercing, piercing your pet’s ears is a terrible idea because it could cause infections and damage the ear.

Pets aren’t an accessory. They deserve to be treated like family. Treat the pets like family and spoil them a bit. Let them up on the couch and your bed, feed them some delicious, non-toxic food, and most importantly, make the most of your time with them because you don’t get as much time with pets as you do with people.
