It was a solid afternoon for Pacers Field Hockey goalie Kerri Mountz against Wilkes University. Despite her six saves in the net, the team was unable to score a goal of its own, dropping the game with a score of 2-0, according to marywoodpacers.com.

Goals from Colonels’ players Keighlyn Oliver and Taylor Ryan helped Wilkes over the Pacers yesterday. Oliver scored off a rebound in the 19th minute.

Ryan had to wait for her goal as a rain delay stopped play. Finally, in the 68th minute Ryan found herself in the middle of the arc and scored an insurance goal.

Wilkes outshot the Pacers 14-8 and had a total of 10-3 advantage on goal.

Along with Mountz’s six saves in goal, Tori Jo Kakusian chipped in defensively with two defensive saves. Wilkes’ goalie Dallas Kendra had three saves.

With the loss, Marywood falls to an overall record of 3-2, while Wilkes jumps up to 4-2.

The Pacers look to bounce back with a win when the team travels to Aurora, New York this Sunday at noon to take on Wells College.
