Both the Marywood men’s and women’s swimming teams were not able to overcome Misericordia University last Saturday.

According to marywoodpacers.com, the Cougars swept Marywood by defeating the men’s team 115-76 and the women’s team 117-86.

One of the notables for the Pacers was senior Paul Kraycer, who won both the 50-yard (22.78) and 100-yard (50.04) freestyle events.

Sophomore Mia Nardone was also victorious on the afternoon, winning the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:05.09. Senior Bryon Scholl took the 500-yard freestyle in 5:22.78.

Marywood had several other swimmers finish in second as well, but it was not enough.

The Pacers are back in the pool on Sunday, Oct. 16 when the team hosts Cazenovia College at 1 p.m.
