Men’s Soccer
Men’s Soccer played in the semifinal of the Atlantic Eastern Conference playoffs against Marymount University. The Saints scored two goals in the second half, and despite Marywood’s best effort to continue their season, it wasn’t enough, losing 2-0.

Men’s Basketball
On Monday, the Marywood men’s basketball traveled to New York to play against Cornell University in the team’s final exhibition game before the start of their regular season. The Pacers were led by graduate student Cole Johnson, who totaled 13 points in 12 minutes of play. Despite this, Marywood would ultimately end up losing to Cornell by a final score of 93-52
On Nov. 8,, Marywood kicked off the start of regular season play by facing Bryn Athyn in the John Long Center. Marywood was in control from the jump as Trevor Seitz led the team in points with 13 in 17 minutes played. Sophomore Michel Loftin contributed 11 points in his regular season debut with the Pacers. Marywood would go on to defeat Bryn Athyn by a final score of 88-56, getting their first win of the season.
On Nov. 9, Marywood took on the University of Scranton for the first time since 2003. Seitz again led the scoring for Marywood with 20 points, 18 of which were behind the arc. Johnson contributed 16 more Despite the duo’s effort, Marywood could not take home the win, falling to Scranton 66-52.
Women’s Basketball
Women’s basketball started their season on Nov. 9,, taking on Bard College in Bronxville, N.Y. Marywood was behind after two quarters, but senior guard Olivia Ciullo’s 24 points and 7 rebounds helped the Pacers come back and take home their first win of the season and the first win for returning head coach Tara Macciocco with a score of 57-52.
Nov. 10 saw the Pacers play their second game in Bronxville, as they were set to play Bryn Mawr College. Despite a strong showing by transfer guard Megan Cavoli’s 17 points and Ciullo’s 12 points, Marywood would ultimately fall short by a final score of 68-61.
Women’s Volleyball
Marywood took on the Gwynedd Mercy Griffins in women’s volleyball this past Wednesday, which saw the Pacers defeat the Griffins, taking the second, third and fifth. Casey Hagerstrom led the Pacers in kills with 13, while Libby Zick led in aces with six. Marywood improved its record to 8-19 overall and 4-2 in conference play, finishing third in the AEC. Marywood will take on Neumann University on Nov. 14 in the Atlantic East Conference semifinals.
Swimming and Diving
Marywood men’s swimming and diving teams were in Maryland this week to take on St. Mary’s College of Maryland and Gallaudet University in a tri-meet. Marywood would lose to St. Mary’s with a score of 213-30 and beat Gallaudet with a score of 117-66. Marywood women’s team also swam in the same tri-meet, going on to lose to St. Marys with a score of 254-93 and defeating Gallaudet 173-38.
