With the Class of 2025 set to graduate in 44 days, Marywood University announced who would be giving its 107th commencement speech.
Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and NFL Analyst Ron “Jaws” Jaworski will give this year’s speech, set to take place at Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre Twp. on May 17.
Jaworski spent 17 years in the NFL, including 10 with the Eagles. In his playing career, he threw 179 touchdowns and led Philadelphia to a Super Bowl appearance in 1981.
Following the conclusion of his playing career, Jaworski moved to an analyst role with ESPN and NFL Network. Currently, the retired quarterback is a co-host of the Eagles pre-game and post-game shows on NBC Philadelphia, a radio personality for Westwood One’s NFL Radio coverage and a host of “True To The Heart,” a podcast focused on cardiovascular health.
Along with his media presence, he owns Business Clubs America and operates seven golf courses across Delaware Valley and one in York, Pa.
Aside from his career, Jaworski and his wife, Liz, are the founders of the Jaws Youth Foundation, which focuses on helping at-risk youth.
