The sororities of Marywood University teamed up for their annual Meet The Greeks event on Monday, Sept. 8. Members of Alpha Sigma Psi and Zeta Phi Delta partnered to host an informational and fun event for prospective members.
Allyson Hourigan, president of Alpha Sigma Psi, and Riley Hogan, president of Zeta Phi Delta, worked in collaboration with Greek Life Council chairs to create the “Say I Do to Greek Life” event. They both shared informational presentations about the organization’s philanthropies, dues, expectations and recruitment.

After their presentations, everybody joined together to do some team-building activities. They started with a “Perfect Pair” game where everybody had to find somebody with a common interest written on their card. Once they got to know that person, they found somebody new.
They also had a wedding dress competition, where small groups had to create their best wedding dress with toilet paper and have one of their teammates model it. “It was so fun and a little competitive… I took my team’s wedding dress seriously,” Hogan said.
Alpha Sigma Psi will be hosting two pre-recruitment events. A “Snackle Box Making” event will be held Tuesday, Sept. 16 on the upper level of Nazareth Student Center, and their “S’mores Night” will be Thursday, Sept. 18 at 9 p.m. at Main Street Marywood. Their “Mamma Mia!” themed recruitment, “Super Trouper Sisterhood,” will take place Sept. 22 through Sept. 24 in Upper Main at Nazareth Student Center.

Zeta Phi Delta will be hosting a “Pancakes and PJs” themed pre-recruitment event on Oct. 8 in Madonna Hall. Their “Sea Yourself at Zeta” recruitment will take place on Oct. 20 through Oct. 22 in the Latour Room at Nazareth Student Center.
