Bruno Mars: Recently, I have been listening to a lot of Bruno Mars. One song that has been on repeat is “Die With a Smile” by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. It’s a soft rock/pop song that talks about the reality of love and connection. The song is about staying in the moment and cherishing the people you love. Bruno and Gaga mix their styles, creating a beautiful symphony between their voices.
Morgan Wallen: Another song that I have been listening to is “7 Summers.” As a country fan, Morgan Wallen is one of my favorite country singers. This song is part of his second studio album, “Dangerous: The Double Album.” The song hits on nostalgia, lost love and regret, focusing on a past summer romance. It brings out that feeling of lost love from the listeners and allows you to dive deeper into your past and the relationships you had back then.

Alvvays: As of lately, I have been listening to Alvvays. Particularly, one song I cannot stop listening to is “Adult Diversion.” It’s an upbeat indie song from their 2014 self-titled album. The song talks about longing for someone from a distance. Some other songs by Alvvays I can’t stop listening to include “Saved By A Waif” and “Atop A Cake.”
The Strokes: Another song I have been listening to is “Call It Fate, Call It Karma.” The song comes off their 2013 album, “Comedown Machine.” The song explores a connection between two people, wondering whether they were brought together by some sort of force, rather than by coincidence. For me, the instrumental feels similar to sitting in a quaint cafe with someone you adore.

RAYE: A phenomenal, multifaceted artist that has been on repeat in my life recently is RAYE. The record-breaking 7x BRIT winner and 3x Grammy nominee is climbing charts as we speak with her new single, “Where Is My Husband?” The song is an uptempo jazz beat that combines technique and productional perfection with pure soul. The song is a playful nod to the artist’s satirically public search for a husband. RAYE’s second studio album will be released in early 2026 and will be the subject of her upcoming international tour.
Renee Rapp: Another artist whose sound I can’t seem to shake is the Broadway powerhouse turned chart-topping pop star Renee Rapp. Praised for what are considered the vocals of a generation, Renee has brilliantly channeled her resounding talents into the enthusiastically authentic project that is her most recent album, “Bite Me.” This body of work effortlessly weaves contrasting genres into one cohesive narrative that allows the listener to laugh, cry and scream with Renee over the course of the album’s 33 minutes. Renee Rapp just began her “Bite Me” Tour on Sept. 23 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Co., and will continue to tour internationally through March 2026.

Rustage: I have been listening to Rustage since I started high school and this month is no exception. A British rapper who is in the genre that is referred to as Nerdcore but it really is just an offshoot of rap or pop. He has so many songs that I’ve been listening to but to pick one to highlight would be one of his recent songs, “Shadow Of The Moon.” It was made in the wake of the recent Demon Slayer movie and was made in the image of the character Akaza. Alongside sounding fantastic, it explores a lot of the character’s personality in a fascinating way while maintaining a very fun style.
Shwabadi: Shwabadi is much like Rustage in both genres, and my opinion on them. I think their songs definitely have a wider range of styles behind them. For example, 3 songs of his that I adore recently are “All In,” “The Hollow In Me,” and “The Glorious Evolution.” They’re all Shwabadi but all feel incredibly unique from the instrumental to the features on the songs, which makes them all really enjoyable songs in different ways.
