Changes are afoot in the admissions office.

Vice President for Enrollment Services and Student Success Ann Boland-Chase is currently serving as Interim Director of University Admissions, according to Associate Director of Admissions Communications Lisa Casella.

Matthew Herr had held the position since Dec. 2018. Prior to beginning his role at Marywood, Herr directed the transfer student division in the admissions office at King’s College for two years.

A search of the Marywood website shows that Herr’s photo and contact information have been removed from the Admissions staff page. Emails to his Marywood address were returned as undeliverable and calls to his office phone number went to voice mail. Additional attempts to reach Herr for comment were unsuccessful.

Boland-Chase would not speak on the status of Herr’s employment at Marywood, citing human resource policies that prevent her from commenting. However, she did say that she is looking forward to the recruitment season.

“Recruitment for fall 2020 is progressing well,” said Boland-Chase. “Our admissions team is doing a great job.”

The senior director position is not listed on the available employment opportunities page of the university website.
