From a small garage to performing in bars and cafes in the local area and creating original tracks, this is the story of Peach Polaroid.

Peach Polaroid performs covers as well as creating original songs. The band was officially formed in May 2023; however, some members of the band have been playing together for over six years. Vocalist and guitarist Nick Puri and band leader Nik Verdugo were part of a different band that started back when they were together at Western Wayne High School in 2017.

However, things took a turn when Verdugo attended Marywood for psychology and graduated in 2023. There he met Ethan Verne, Eowynn Bogdon and Kyle Jenkins as well as met back up with Puri who all helped form the new band: Peach Polaroid.

“We all took a songwriting class together and we were complete strangers from the beginning. Towards the end of the class, we had projects where we had to work with each other. They would come down to the studio at my house and it was just instant magic when we all hopped behind the instruments and started playing.” Verdugo said.

Their first performance together was only days after they all came together for the first time, which they described as a shell-shock at first, but after practicing for a few hours, they were confident in what they could do. This act is one they remember well– Beer Boys sports bar in Wilkes-Barre.

“We managed to fill up the bar as well as receiving a paycheck for playing music. So it’s like, that was the borderline of becoming professionals. At least in my head, being a professional is getting paid. That’s a foot in the door, man,” Verdugo said.

The band has performed in numerous bars where they perform various covers. Many of their performances are live streamed through the Peach Polaroid Facebook page. Currently, the band has produced one single, available on all music streaming platforms: “Candy Store.”

For those with a taste in independent bands with a unique tone to boot, Peach Polaroid is perfect for you.
